Terms of Service
Last updated: 7 July 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of CaseLens (“CaseLens”, “we”, “us”), a web application at caselens.in. By creating an account or using CaseLens you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. What CaseLens is
CaseLens is a name-search-first litigation tracker and AI reading assistant for advocates in India. It lets you search for cases by party name, track cases, and read AI-generated summaries of court orders. Court data is sourced from the licensed eCourtsIndia partner service. CaseLens is a reading and drafting aid — it is not a court, not a court database, and not a source of certified records.
2. Not legal advice
CaseLens does not provide legal advice and using it does not create an advocate–client or any professional relationship. AI-generated summaries and drafts may contain errors or omissions. Order text shown in CaseLens is an information copy for reading only; a certified copy from the court registry is the evidentiary standard. You are responsible for verifying every fact, date, authority, and document against the official record before relying on it or filing anything.
3. Accounts
You sign in with a one-time email magic link. You are responsible for keeping access to your email secure and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and be entitled to use the service under applicable law and professional rules.
4. Acceptable use
- Do not use CaseLens for any unlawful purpose or to violate any person's rights.
- Do not scrape, resell, or redistribute the court data or AI outputs in bulk.
- Do not attempt to breach security, disrupt the service, or circumvent usage limits.
- Do not rely on CaseLens outputs as a substitute for independent professional judgement.
5. Plans, subscriptions & billing
CaseLens offers a free plan (track up to 3 cases) and a paid Pro plan (₹1,999/month), billed monthly on a recurring basis via our payment processor, Razorpay. By subscribing you authorise recurring charges until you cancel. Prices are in Indian Rupees and may be revised prospectively with notice. Cancellation and refund terms are set out in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
6. Court data & AI content
Court data is provided through a licensed third-party (eCourtsIndia) and may be delayed, incomplete, or unavailable. AI summaries are generated by third-party models and are provided “as is”. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any court data or AI output.
7. Intellectual property
CaseLens, its design, and its software are owned by us and protected by law. Court records are public records; your rights to them are governed by the applicable court rules. You retain your own data (e.g. which cases you track).
8. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
CaseLens is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, CaseLens is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from reliance on court data or AI outputs. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim.
9. Termination
You may stop using CaseLens at any time and request account deletion. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or misuse of the service.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated date on this page; continued use after changes means you accept them.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes are subject to the courts of Delhi, India.
